On November 6th the Danish Bioeconomy Conference/TETRAS Final Event brought together experts, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders in Nykøbing Falster, Denmark, to explore new pathways for farming and aquaculture across the Baltic Sea Region.
The event also proudly featured AquaLoop project, which was showcased alongside other key initiatives shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture. AquaLoop’s presence highlighted its role in advancing circular solutions and innovative RAS-based approaches within the region.
Hosted in collaboration with CELF and Guldborgsund Kommune, the conference marked the culmination of three years of work under the Interreg BSR project TETRAS, demonstrating how industrial symbiosis and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) can drive sustainable innovation. The day featured inspiring discussions on: circular solutions and the business potential of RAS, the use of geothermal and technical water in aquaculture, how sustainability tools like LCAs, KPIs, and ESG can guide future investment, and new opportunities for cross-sector collaboration in the bioeconomy.
Thank you to the organizers and the TETRAS project!
